I'M A PSYCHOLOGIST WHO HAS BEEN WORKING TO ASSIST PEOPLE MAKE POSITIVE LASTING CHANGES IN THEIR LIVES FOR OVER 8 YEARS.
I have a 4-year Psychology degree and am a Psychologist accredited by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), an associate member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and a board-endorsed supervisor of provisional psychologists.
Each year I completed additional ongoing professional development to keep my skills current. I have completed face-to-face training at the Beck Institute for Cognitive Behaviour Therapy in Philadelphia, USA.
WHO I WORK WITH
I work with people across all stages of the lifespan.
My experience as a School Counsellor has been with children and young people from 6 to 18 years and their families/carers. I also regularly work with urban professionals and people in creative industries.
I can help with a variety of issues which impact general mental health and wellbeing: depression, anxiety, stress, relationship issues, learning and behavioural difficulties.
Call me to discuss if my skills and experience suit your needs.
I am trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and I use a range of creative, practical and dynamic techniques to inspire positive change.
I’m also an accredited ‘123 Magic & Emotion Coaching‘ and ‘Engaging Adolescents‘ practitioner – these are parenting skill courses which focus on communication and brain development.
My particular interest is in people experiencing problems in their lives due to overuse of technology and games, and in the impact of digital and cyber communication on society and relationships.
I have a small private practice in Burwood in Sydney’s inner west on Tuesday afternoons and some Saturdays. As I am only part-time I don’t have the capacity to take on complex cases which need high levels of support, please discuss your situation with me to find out if I can meet your needs.
Sessions are $130 for a 50-55 minute consultation. If you have a valid referral/mental health plan from your GP you can claim $84.80 back from Medicare through the Better Access to Mental Health Care initiative.
